Next on the list in this week’s baking spree: M&M cookies for Daphne.
Since Daphne doesn’t believe in the idea of eating m&ms without peanuts I used the ones with peanuts and not the smaller, on-peanuty m&ms.
makes 9 giant, more gooey cookies or about 18 smaller and crispier ones
- 250 gr (2 cups) of flour
- 1/2 t of baking powder
- 180 gr of butter (slightly melted)
- 130 gr (1 cup) of brown sugar
- 65 gr (1/2 cup) of white sugar
- 1 t vanilla extract
- 1 egg and 1 yolk
- 1 cup of peanut m&ms
- optional: 1 cup white or brown chocolate chips
Combine the brown and white sugar, the butter, vanille extract and the eggs in a bowl and mix well. In another bowl combine the flour and the baking powder. Add the flour to the other mixture while stirring and add the peanuts and chocolate chips afterwards.
Preheat oven to 170°C (340F).
Line a cookie sheet with wax paper, make dollops of the cookie dough and place it on the paper. You can either make 9 giant cookies, like I did, these will be a bit gooeyer and need about 30 minutes in the oven or you can make about 18 smaller ones. The smaller would need less time in the oven but I’m not sure how long, my guess would be 15 to 20 minutes. Please don’t shoot me if this is not the case, when in doubt check them every few micro seconds and use a toothpick.
Daphne will be home from school soon so I hope she’ll like them!
And I hope you’ll like them too of course 😉
