Autumn ‘n Oats

Autumn is already in the air

You can smell it, you can feel it…
and you can taste it too!

‘Baked oatmeal – Autumn edition’

You’ll need :

  • half a banana
  • half a cup of (soy) milk
  • a cup of oatmeal
  • 2t of almond powder
  • 2t of bresilienne nuts mix (yep, I’m talking about the things you get to do on your ice cream, I’m naughty like that ^^)
  • a handful of nuts ( walnuts and hazelnuts give an extra ‘Autumny’ sensation)
  • a few dashes of cinnamon
  • 1t of baking powder
Preheat the oven to 200°C (390 F).
In one bowl combine all the dry ingredients, in another mash the banana and add your milk to it. Combine the two mixtures and stir well.

Oil some ramekins (or one ramekin depending on the seize of it) and pour your mixture into them.
Place the ramekins in the oven for about 15 to 20 minutes. Top it off with 5 minutes of high broil to get a nice crust (if you want to, you can add some brown sugar before you start the broiling).

Apparently there are some new running trails in my town, so I’m going to check those out now 🙂
