A couple of weeks ago it was my niece’s second birthday and today we were all invited to celebrate it, brunch style!
The birthdaygirl, trying to figure out her age
First of all I’d like to tell you guys that I’m a great fan of brunches. Why?
Well because it’s all breakfast food – obviously- and honestly, isn’t breakfast the best meal of the day?!
I also really enjoy them because they only happen ever so often and it’s lovely to take some time to enjoy a meal with friends and family.
I try to eat pretty clean most of the time but when there’s a brunch, it’s on!
We started off the party with some snacks and champagne,
then it was time to get the feasting started!
I didn’t get the chance to take a lot of pictures of the food to be honest, everyone was already munching by the time I was ready to get some camera action on.
Buns, candy and pastry all around
also featured: more champagne and litres of coffee
Super yummy cherries and more candy (it’s a party of a 2year-old, whatcha expect?)
Colourful fruitsalad to balance out all the candy 😉
After all that munching we went out for a little walk and after that…
There was cake
Cake with whipped cream, chocolate and fruit
The birthday girl (stealing some whipped cream!) and her parents
First there was cake…
.. .then there was chaos!
Note: If you’re trying to avoid a mess, don’t let the 2year old eat the cake by herself…
it also helps to make sure the toys on the cake aren’t made out of chocolate (of course they were^^)
Whenever we have a family get-together I turn into some paparazzi monster, trying to take pictures of everyone when they aren’t paying attention.

Hope you guys had a lovely Sunday as well,
Question: What’s your favourite meal of the day?
